About 

Having been painting for a few years now, and having been featured in a good few exhibitions and art prizes and had some good sales, I have become weary of art-speak and gobbledigook nonsense.

Truth is my art isn't trying to 'say' anything (unless it says something to you in particular). I have no political agenda - obviously !! I am not trying to make a 'statement' or social comment and I have not and never will use the word juxtaposition !

My figurative paintings have a surreal and sometimes naive quality focussing on emotion rather than realism and are purely decorative in the main.

​

My abstracts are colourful and fairly controlled for abstracts but are not planned - they just evolve until I consider them done.

​

I often use repurposed surfaces and frames to add to the vintage feel of my artwork. 

​

All I want is for someone to like my art enough to take it home and put it on their wall.That is the greatest compliment of all.

I started painting in my 60s and aim to continue being a grumpy but enthusiastic artist until they cart me off. ​
